We have created Independent IT Consulting to use our collective experience to assist our clients to navigate vendor vested interests and the complexities of IT solutions by providing qualified, impartial, independent advice. Nick is a Senior Digital professional with over 20 years’ experience leading product strategy, development and operations. Proven experience envisaging and delivering innovative products that generate meaningful revenue and utility for such organisations as Skype, Australia Post, eBay, Microsoft, Yell, Sensis, YellowPages, dstore, Fairfax Interactive and Looksmart. Adept at all stages of digital product lifecycle from initial concept, strategy, development, launch, marketing, commercialization, monetization, post-launch analysis and operational management.

Nick Parr
Founder/Principal Consultant
Nick is an experienced IT Strategist, Solution Architect, Technology expert and IT trouble shooter with exposure to many large and small enterprise solutions. Over the past 25 years he has worked for such organisations as Oracle, GE, CUB, Cadbury, Capgemini, Rimini Street, Local and International government agencies giving Nick a unique perspective, allowing him to navigate through the smoke and mirrors by digesting solutions and strategy from a vendor, customer and partner perspective.

Nick Gee, Principal Consultant
Nick is a trusted advisor to executive leaders who believe in being data driven, people and customer centric. He is a Senior Digital professional with over 20 years’ experience leading and delivering product and technology strategy that generate revenue and growth for organisations such as Auto Trader (UK), Sensis and Telstra.
Focused on the customer experience, Nick has experience across the digital product lifecycle, including successful partnerships, design thinking and marketing leadership.

Sam de Silva, Product Delivery Advisor
Innovation Advisor, working at the intersection of culture, media, technology and entrepreneurship. Sam has been involved in numerous projects to deliver product or initiatives and has extensive experience in building offshore models.
He has managed projects ranging from citizen reporting via SMS in Indonesia to digital safety for media and civil society. He has a technical sensibility, and has experience designing ICT solutions and managing their implementation.

Brett Hepburn, Strategic Program and Project Manager
An experienced and flexible business focused IT professional with key abilities to operate at strategic and operational levels, bridging the gap and acting as a conduit to ensure strategic and aspirational objectives deliver the desired operational outcomes. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Prince2 Practitioner, Six Sigma, specializing in Business Process Design and Improvement and alignment of IT with Business goals and objectives.

Boyd Sharrock, Software Engineering Specialist
Expert full-stack developer with decades of experience leading teams and hands on developing applications and services across the consumer web, telecommunications, scientific and finance domains. Boyd uses his technical experience to provide strategic advice on all aspects of the SDLC as well as advisory evaluations of product feasibility, vendor due diligence and product assessment for acquisition or licensing.
